According to the organiser, Dutch Design Week takes place from 17 to 25 October 2026. Strijp-S is one of the festival locations.

Strijp-S grew out of the Philips site. Gerard Philips started producing incandescent lamps in 1891; in 1916 a glass factory was built on Strijp-S to become less dependent on suppliers. The Klokgebouw and the factory buildings of the Hoge Rug followed later, among others.

During Dutch Design Week, the 26th edition at Strijp-S is themed R.A.W., with unpolished, exploratory design. More than 2,500 designers show work and ideas there. The Ketelhuisplein is freely accessible; tickets are required for other locations.

A second place for art in Eindhoven is the Van Abbemuseum. The museum has an international collection of more than 3,600 artworks. It is at Stratumsedijk 2, about fifteen minutes’ walk from the station through the car-free centre.

The Van Abbemuseum is normally open Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00. In the list of exceptions, Monday 19 October 2026 is a closing day during Dutch Design Week.
