Arnhem in autumn: park, museum and zoo
Sonsbeek lies close to the station; the Open Air Museum and Burgers’ Zoo each call for their own day plan.

Park Sonsbeek is about a five-minute walk from Arnhem Centraal and the city centre. In the park, that site mentions the Belvédère lookout tower and the Steile Tuin.
The Nederlands Openluchtmuseum brings together buildings, objects and stories from different centuries. The summer season runs until 25 October 2026 inclusive. Until that date the museum at Hoeferlaan 4 is open from 10:00 to 17:00.
The museum also organises Uitgelicht, an evening opening after regular hours, between 18:00 and 23:00. A day ticket for visitors aged thirteen and over costs €20 on weekdays or €24 at weekends, in holidays and on public holidays.
Burgers’ Zoo is open every day of the year. Until 24 October the hours are 9:00 to 18:00; from 25 October they become 9:00 to 17:00. The address is Antoon van Hooffplein 1. The zoo names bus line 3 from Arnhem station as the connection.
For the Openluchtmuseum, the site offers €1 online discount per adult or child ticket. Burgers’ Zoo lists €10 for parking.
