At Cannenburch the autumn market is free, the castle visit is separate

Herfstpracht fills the forecourt and park in Vaassen on 17 and 18 October. Visitors who also want to go inside need a separate entry ticket.

Herfstpracht takes place at Cannenburch Castle in Vaassen on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026. The market on the forecourt and in the park is open from 11 am to 5 pm with free entry. Both the castle owner and the market organiser list the two dates; the municipality of Epe has published a permit.
According to Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen, stalls offer home accessories, crafts, fashion, decoration, local food and refreshments. The regional agenda also lists music, children’s activities and a street performer. The setting turns the market into a walk around the castle without a museum ticket for the stalls.
Entering the castle is a separate choice. It is open during the market with a regular admission ticket; Museumkaart, VriendenLoterij VIP and GLK donor passes give free entry according to the owner. The event page consulted does not state the regular castle admission price.

The castle’s visitor address is Maarten van Rossumplein 4. The event permit names number 2 for the location, while the owner and organiser use number 4. Our photographs show the castle and its grounds in earlier years, not the 2026 Herfstpracht.
The sources disagree about parking: the market organiser says it is free, while the castle owner leaves open the possibility of an event charge. Follow the parking stewards’ directions and check current visitor information before setting off.
